SPECULATOR: Takeaways from the Last 31 Day leaders, cont'd

Last week, we used the Last 31 Days section of our Stats and Projections files as a jumping-off point for some speculations about hot hitters. This week, we turn our attention to the leading pitchers for the period May 21-June 20.
 

American League

Dellin Betances (RHP, NYY) has been blowing away hitters from the Yankee bullpen all season long, but it's really in the past month that his performance has reached the levels of video-game silliness: over the past 31 days, he has posted a 251 BPV (!), striking out 28 batters (against just two walks and five hits) in 28 IP. It would be a disservice to call this skill set "closer-worthy," in fact, it is Craig Kimbrel-worthy. David Robertson is a fine closer in his own right, but if Betances...
