Scott Oberg (RHP, COL)
After placing John Axford on the family emergency list, the Rockies recalled the 25-year-old Oberg from Triple-A. He has spent his entire career in the bullpen, and for good reason. He has a tenacious, aggressive demeanor that works well in short stints. He was selected in the 15th round of 2012 and has served as a closer in each season as a pro. His 2014 campaign was cut short after undergoing minor shoulder surgery in August. Oberg’s arsenal is quite impressive, led by his plus curveball that is a legitimate out pitch at any level.
