On paper, you could be forgiven for thinking a 6’5”, 213-pound pitcher with a career 9.5 Dom is a power dude, but Gonsalves is every bit a pitchability/deception guy who has consistently maxed out what otherwise is a backend profile. He’s got an average fastball at 91 mph but his deception helps it play more to above-average utility, with good riding life that makes the ball hard to elevate.
