Guenther is a 25-year-old reliever who played in college at Notre Dame and was a seventh-round pick in 2017. Before 2021 he had never pitched above A+ ball, but he has posted great ratios in AA and AAA, with a K% over 30% at both levels and a BB% in the mid 4% range in both AA and AAA.
