Pedro Ciriaco (INF, BOS)
The 26-year-old was recalled from Triple-A to take the roster spot of Dustin Pedroia. Ciriaco, a right-handed hitter, is a plus athlete with nifty glovework at both middle infield positions. He’s a versatile defender with very quick hands and above average range to both sides. He also has keen instincts in the field and is a sound positional defender. Ciriaco runs very well, but his below average on base skills diminish the effectiveness of his speed. He rarely draws walks and lacks the power to drive the ball over the fence. With a light frame and quick bat, he should focus on being more selective and finding a pitch he can drive. Ciriaco has value in a number of areas, most notably with his speed...
