The Cardinals promoted the 26-year-old after optioning 1B Chad Huffman to Triple-A. You won’t see Voit on any top prospect list nor does he have the pedigree of many that one would see on such a list. However, the right-handed hitter has produced at every stage of the minors since he was selected in the 22nd round of the 2013 draft. He bypassed Low-A in his first pro season and has continued to mash each year. As he advances, his numbers continue to get better. Voit is all about brute, raw power with above average bat speed.
