Wilfredo Tovar (SS, NYM)

Ruben Tejeda's broken fibula paved way for the Mets to promote Tovar from Double-A to get his first taste at shortstop in the majors. The 22-year-old is already in his sixth minor league season, making his first appearance back 2008 as a 16-year-old. Known as a stellar defender at short with a light bat, Tovar has done well the past few seasons, progressing through the system while carrying his own in the batter's box. His 23 percent extra base hit rate and 0.68 Eye are indications of his subpar offensive production, but with an understanding of the strike zone, he has a 7 percent walk rate and 89 percent...
