Dilson Herrera's (2B, NYM) quad injury opened the door for Tovar's second cup of coffee with the Mets. He was also up for 15 AB the final week of the 2013 season.
Though just 23 years old, Tovar is completing his seventh season in the Mets system. While he has shown steady progression offensively, he is still much more known for his defensive prowess than his offensive abilities.
