The 22-year-old was recalled to make his major league debut with a spot start on Sunday, September 22. Romero began the season in Double-A and started slowly before stringing together several outstanding months. He has appeared in each of the last two Futures Games and has a bright future despite an undecided role. He could just as easily fit into the middle of a starting rotation, but he hasn’t yet mastered a consistent release point or delivery.
