Early season scouting looks sometimes don’t allow for diversification. I’ve been to four games and all four games have involved White Sox prospects. This is the third Eyes Have It article of the year and the third one to feature a White Sox prospect. It’s not my fault they have so many prospects now. Today’s feature is on a pitching prospect who only threw 33 pitches in the scouted start. Let’s check out Hagen Smith.

Hagen Smith (LHP, Chicago White Sox– Several years ago, I scouted Luis Castillo when he was a Reds prospect. He didn’t make it out of the second inning. It wasn’t a good look, and I threw the report away because the video available throughout the Southern League wasn’t conducive for finishing my report....
