I’m not usually hitting the parks as hard in June and July because most teams have already been into my coverage area. However, this year’s schedule has been different. In previous years, Bowling Green, High-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, has already been in town once, if not twice. This year, they came to town for the first time during a three-game stretch to begin July, which is crazy considering the geography of the South Atlantic League and the fact Rome is the only road trip five hours or less from Bowling Green. Their next closest city is Asheville and then Greenville.
