We wrote about José Soriano (RHP, TOR) last year in this column (along with our own Greg Pyron giving him a Spotlight in June 2026), and our Arsenal Report TLDR in 2025 was that Soriano had great stuff, but was not utilizing it optimally. He had his SI usage at 49% which was, in our opinion, way too high, as the rest of his repertoire was much better for inducing swing-and-miss. Fast forward to this season, where we want to revisit how he has changed in 2026, and what that might mean for his new team in Toronto as they try to help him adjust. Soriano’s overall Whiff% is up 4.4% in 2026, while on the flip side, his GB% is down nearly 14% and we potentially have some arsenal usage changes to attribute this to:
