Mauer no tower of power…As a catcher, the moderate power of Joe Mauer (1B, MIN) was acceptable, since he hit for a terrific average. But now that he’s shifted to first base, the lack of round-trippers is an issue. Combine that with an average below his usual lofty standards, and Mauer owners are grumbling as the first two months of the season draw to a close.
