F/F SPOTLIGHT: Tommy Pham

Tommy Pham (OF, SD) put up three solid fantasy seasons prior to COVID. He was diagnosed with COVID in early July 2020, but recovered quickly enough to start the season in the lineup. He then suffered a broken hamate bone in August, missing about six weeks of play. Between the missed time and hitting woes in general, he managed just an $8 season in 2020.

His start in 2021 is even worse. He's had virtually no power and just a handful of stolen bases. We'll take a deep dive here and see if we can figure out what's going on. He was the victim of a stab wound in the offseason, and while that wasn't expected to affect him this year, we'll try to see if we can find any changes in his game that might indicate the wound is a factor.
