RE-WATCH 2019: Los Angeles Dodgers at San Diego Padres, September 24

(Follow this link for an introduction and overview of this series.)

Date and venue: September 24, 2019 at PETCO Park; San Diego, CA.
Pitching matchup: LHP Rich Hill (4-1, 2.68 ERA) vs. RHP Ronald Bolaños (0-1, 5.79 ERA)
Setup and context: A nondescript late-September matchup between two teams on different trajectories. Playing out the string, SD enters the night a cool 30 games behind the eventual NL West champs, as LA was in full ramp-up mode for another postseason run. A fourth-inning grand slam from Max Muncy was all LA needed in this one, as an assembly line of LA pitchers (eight of them, to be exact) held SD to three runs.
