Uncovering gems in the free agent pool can require some out-of-the-box thinking. While rookies carry their own brand of risk, some have an upside that many veterans lack. This week's column happens to be heavy with younger players. Risky, yes—and often without regular playing time secured. But some of them will turn out to be worth the investment.
