MARKET PULSE: 2015 All-Avoid Team

Last week, we put together a team of undervalued players—guys you can target and hopefully build a strong value core around. This week, we'll do the opposite: assemble a team of players who are generally being overvalued by GMs.

As with last year, we didn't find any catchers that were severely overvalued. That means you shouldn't need to reach for a catcher, as there should be a few at fair value. Instead, we looked at a couple of shaky catchers who you might want to avoid on general principle.

In fact, you should generally focus less on the magnitude of the reach than the reasoning why the player is on this list. For example, Miguel Cabrera's $2 difference isn't extraordinary. But as you'll see, there are some very good reasons to let...
