STARTERS: BPV leaders, 2016 last 12 months

As we reach the midpoint of the season, our review of a player's performance can be dominated by year-to-date numbers, since we tend to aggregate and analyze stats in yearly increments.

A helpful alternative exercise at this juncture is to look back over the last 12 months (second half of 2015 + first half of 2016) and analyze the combined skills posted by SP over those two periods.

Earlier this month, USA Today's Steve Gardner took a look at the statistical leaderboards in several categories over the last 12 months with the data collection help of our own Matt Cederholm. Let's undertake the same exercise using skills and focus on starting pitchers.
