STARTERS: Early 2019 targets

Our last SP Buyers Guide column of the regular season will help you identify early 2019 targets.

Here are a bunch of starting pitchers in each league that have a good shot to improve significantly in 2019.
 

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Jalen Beeks (LHP, TAM) became a sneaky add in many leagues in 2018 after posting an electric 117/25 K/BB in 87 IP at AAA Pawtucket. After a couple of appearances with BOS, he was traded to TAM. It remains to be seen if he'll stick as a SP or will end up as a better fit in the bullpen. But he's ending the season on a high note (8/1 K/BB, 176 BPV in 7 IP during September).
