STARTERS: Early surprises 2014

Many starting pitchers have delivered surprising performances in the early-going.

Some SP who entered the season with promise have struggled. Other SP have put up excellent surface stats even though they lacked fanfare.

Let's take a look at several early surprises in both leagues with the goal of separating the buying opportunities from the guys on whom you should consider selling high.

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Carlos Carrasco (RHP, CLE) owns an ugly 6.95 ERA and 1.50 WHIP after 22 IP. He has been sent to the waiver wire in many leagues.
