STARTERS: LIMA Plan Targets

The Low Investment Mound Aces (LIMA) Plan is a way for you to target high skills pitchers without paying high skills prices, thereby allowing you to spend more of your money on hitters.

There are variations of the LIMA model, but the basic approach is to target pitchers who are projected to meet the following thresholds:

  • Command ratio (K/BB) of 2.0 or better;
  • Dominance rate (K/9) of 6.0 or better; and
  • Expected home run (HR/9) rate of 1.0 or less.
