STARTERS: Spring Cmd leaders 2014

Spring training stats often are misleading, especially for starting pitchers.

They come in small sample sizes, so it's risky to put a lot of stock into them. And they usually aren't generated against a team's best bats.

That said, command (K/BB) ratio can be a useful measure of spring training performance for young pitchers or those who may have showed signs of a breakout last season.

Here are the command ratio leaders among starting pitchers so far this spring:

Name League Team | IP ERA WHIP | Ctl Dom Cmd
==================  ======  ==== | ==  ====  ==== | ===  ====  ====
Wainwright, Adam        NL   STL | 22  1.59  0.66 | 0.4   7.3  18.0
Pineda, Michael         AL   NYY | 15  1.20  1.00 | 0.6   9.6 ...
