“Chance favors only the prepared mind.” When Louis Pasteur spoke these words over a century ago, he meant that sudden flashes of insight don’t just happen, but are the products of preparation. Though in some less informed circles it is claimed that Pasteur was referring to scientific discovery when making his famous quote, those in the know are aware that Pasteur was a closet fantasy sports enthusiast and was instead referencing the amount of preparation put into drafts.
