NEWS: Chicago signed 3B Alex Bregman to a 5-year, $175 million contract.

Bregman should slide into a regular role as Chicago’s starting third baseman and slot in towards the top of the team’s lineup. The signing adds uncertainty to the playing time outlook of Matt Shaw, who was previously slated to be Chicago's third baseman.
