NEWS: Kansas City is expected to reinstate OF/1B Jac Caglianone from the 10-day IL and select the contract of C Carter Jensen from AAA-Omaha.

BHQ SPIN:  Caglianone, who landed on the IL in late July due to a left hamstring strain, is expected to rejoin Kansas City’s active roster when rosters expand on Monday. Caglianone was filling a regular role before the injury, splitting time between right field, first base, and designated hitter, and should fill a similar role upon his return. The player most likely to lose playing time at the expense of Caglianone is Michael Massey, who had started five of the team’s six games since returning from the IL last week.
