NEWS: RHP Erick Fedde joins the rotation in a three-team trade with the White Sox.
IMPACT: Medium
BHQ SPIN: Fedde has enjoyed a breakout of sorts, as he’s posted a 3.11 ERA and 1.14 WHIP over 121.2 IP for the White Sox after spending 2023 in Korea. His addition lets RHP Andre Pallante return to a relief role, which suits Pallante’s skills better. LHP Steven Matz is expected to begin his rehab assignment later this week; Fedde’s addition takes pressure off the club to rush Matz back into action too quickly. With a number of bodies seemingly getting healthy, we’ll keep an eye on how the innings settle out for the stretch run.
