Díaz surgery creates uncertainty in Dodgers 'pen

NEWS: The Dodgers placed RHP Edwin Díaz on the 15-day IL due to loose bodies in his right elbow. They recalled LHP Jake Eder from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move.

BHQ SPIN: Díaz will undergo surgery on Wednesday, April 22 to remove loose bodies from his right elbow and is expected to be sidelined until “the second half of the season” according to the Dodgers. If he is out until after the All-Star Break he would miss about three months. We have reduced Díaz’s IP for the remainder of the season from 4.5% to 2.0% and his %SV from 80% to 35%.
