NEWS: The Dodgers signed free agent RHP Edwin Díaz to a three-year, $69 million contract.

BHQ SPIN: After a year in which the Dodgers bullpen struggled with both performance and injuries, they signed the top free agent closer on the market to solidify the back of their bullpen. Díaz had an outstanding year with the Mets (1.63 ERA, 0.87 WHIP, 29.9% K-BB% and 28 SV over 66.1 IP) and will step into the primary closer role for the Dodgers. Manager Dave Roberts has a history of using multiple closers so LHP Tanner Scott, who missed the entire postseason with a lower body issue, could also see occasional save opportunities based on matchups.
