Detmers to return; LAA transitions to six-man rotation

NEWS: The team will add LHP Reid Detmers to the roster with its September roster expansion spot; he will start Tuesday and the team will go with a six-man rotation for the time being.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: Detmers was dispatched to Triple-A on June 1, and overall had a rough 14 starts there: 5.54 ERA with a 1.40 WHIP in 78 IP. He did, though, strike out 101 batters against 27 walks, but the long ball remained an issue (18 HR allowed). The silver lining is that his last three starts have been excellent: 21 IP, 3 ER, 7 BB and 29 K. His first September start on Tuesday will come against the Dodgers.
