NEWS: 1B Vinnie Pasquantino is expected to miss the rest of the regular season with a broken thumb.

In Pasquantino’s absence, Salvador Perez started at first base on Friday, where he is expected to be the team’s primary option down the stretch. With Perez seeing more time at first base, Freddy Fermin is expected to get the majority of starts at catcher.
