NEWS: Oakland placed right-handed closer Mason Miller on the IL with a fractured left pinkie finger.

BHQ SPIN: Miller (-0.5% PT) broke his finger in the weight room on Monday, but there's been some conflicting reports on just how it happened. Regardless, the injury is to his non-pitching hand, so he shouldn’t be out much longer than the minimum two weeks. His IL placement will also act as a way to limit his innings in his breakout campaign. Lucas Erceg should be the go-to option for saves in Miller’s absence.
