NEWS: Cleveland reinstated RHP Gavin Williams from the 60-day IL and optioned RHP Triston McKenzie to AAA-Columbus.

BHQ SPIN: Williams was activated from the IL on Sunday and is scheduled to rejoin Cleveland’s rotation on Wednesday. McKenzie, who is in the midst of a brutal season by both results (5.11 ERA, 1.56 WHIP) and skills (5.39 xERA, 7% K-BB%, 14 BPV) was demoted as the corresponding move. We had already been bumping up Williams’ projected innings as he progressed on his rehab assignment, so only a slight increase at the expense of McKenzie is necessary at this time.
