Gore shores up Rangers rotation

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Texas Rangers
NEWS: The Rangers acquired LHP MacKenzie Gore from WSH for five minor leaguers.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: Gore immediately moves into the top three in the TEX rotation with RHPs Jacob deGrom and Nathan Eovaldi. The lefty flashed his ace potential in the first half of 2025 before a dismal second half, which may have been at least partly triggered by injuries. Importantly for the Rangers, Gore comes with two seasons of team control before he’s eligible for free agency, which matches deGrom and Eovaldi’s contracts. Barring further TEX pitching moves, expect Jack Leiter (at #4) then Jake Latz and Kumar Rocker to slot in behind the Rangers’ top three.
