NEWS: 1B Willson Contreras lands on the IL with a shoulder strain and is out for the rest of the season.

BHQ SPIN: With Contreras being shelved for the rest of the year, look for 1B/OF Alec Burleson to move over to first base. 2B/3B Nolan Gorman and OF Jordan Walker are likely candidates to receive more PAs over the final weeks. While both Gorman (.571 OPS, 109 PA) and Walker (.433 OPS, 71 PA) have struggled mightily over the past month, the club could use as much information as possible on these players as they prepare for offseason decisions for 2026 and beyond.
