King back to IL; Vásquez takes his place in SD

NATIONAL LEAGUE

San Diego Padres
NEWS: The Padres placed RHP Michael King on the 15-day IL with left knee inflammation and recalled RHP Randy Vásquez from Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: King (-2% PT) appeared in just one game after returning from the 60-day IL and will now be sidelined for at least the next couple of weeks. The Padres have not provided any additional information, so a timeline for his return is uncertain at this point. Vásquez (+1% PT), who was optioned to El Paso on August 3 after the Padres acquired LHP Nestor Cortes, returns to the Padres after making just one start at El Paso. If he pitches well, Vásquez should stick in the rotation until King returns.
