NEWS: RHP Jack Leiter has slid into a bullpen role, replacing RHP José Ureña, who will miss the rest of the season with shoulder fatigue.

BHQ SPIN: RHP Gerson Garabito was recalled to take Ureña’s roster spot. With RHPs Kumar Rocker, Jacob deGrom, and Max Scherzer all either called up or returning this week, there was sudden glut of SP for TEX anyway. As we speculated might happen in this space, Leiter appears set to be a tandem bulk reliever of sorts for the aforementioned starters, all of whom are still building up as part of the rehab process.
