Lukes, Straw to see more time for Jays in CF

NEWS: Toronto has placed CF Daulton Varsho on the 10-day IL with left hamstring strain; Davis Schneider has been recalled from AAA-Buffalo in a corresponding move.

BHQ SPIN: Varsho can’t catch a break with his health this season. His .206 BA is being held back by a 20 h%. Most of his other metrics point to the fact that he had overcome the shoulder woes that have plagued him since last season. Varsho has a 181 xPX fueled by improvements in his hard contact rate (103 HctX). His injury paves the way for an increased role for Nathan Lukes and Myles Straw as they will form some measure of a platoon with Straw garnering additional centerfield at bats when Lukes slides over to the corner...
