Mariners shuffle staff in wake of Logan Gilbert injury

NEWS: Seattle placed RHP Logan Gilbert on the 15-day IL with a right forearm strain and recalled RHP Troy Taylor and LHP Tayler Saucedo after also designating RHP Casey Lawrence for assignment. The team also plans on recalling RHP Logan Evans to start on April 27.

BHQ SPIN: Already without George Kirby, who is aiming for an early May return, now the Mariners will be without Gilbert for the near future. No timetable has been officially set other than Gilbert being shut down from throwing for two weeks and then set for an evaluation. Gilbert was off to a great start with a career best 37% K% and 51% GB% leading to a 2.37 ERA/.0.79 WHIP. Both Taylor and Saucedo are back of the bullpen...
