Mariners welcome back Woo, Cubs swap Suzuki and Swanson on injured list

NEWS: Seattle activated RHP Bryan Woo from the 15-day IL and in a corresponding move designated RHP Tyson Miller for assignment. Seattle also announced that RHP Matt Brash has undergone Tommy John surgery and will miss the rest of the 2024 season.

BHQ SPIN: Woo is finally healthy enough to be back in the Mariners’ rotation after dealing with some elbow inflammation. His Triple-A rehab starts went quite well where he only gave up 5 hits with 17 strikeouts in 11.1 innings. Woo went 4.1 innings in first start of 2024 on 5/10 against Oakland, but left the mound with a trainer, so that isn’t great news for his longer-term outlook.
