NEWS: Arizona placed right-handed reliever Justin Martinez on the 15-day IL with right shoulder inflammation.

BHQ SPIN: Alarm bells rang when Martinez exhibited sub-94 mph average fastball velocity on Wednesday, concerning for a pitcher who typically and comfortably hits 100 mph. Martinez had become increasingly fantasy-relevant following a significant injury to bullpen-mate A.J. Puk, making this news that much more devastating to a reeling Diamondbacks arm barn.
