NEWS: Kansas City reinstated 2B Michael Massey from the 10-day IL and optioned IF Nick Loftin to AAA-Omaha.

BHQ SPIN: After missing the start of the season with a lower back injury, Massey hit well in a rehab assignment split between AA-Northwest Arkansas and AAA-Omaha (.382/.417/.706) before being activated on Friday. Massey started at second base on Friday, where he should have regular at-bats against right-handed starters. However, his opportunities against left-handed starters could be limited.
