NEWS: 3B Jordan Westburg will begin the year on the 10-day IL after being diagnosed with a partially torn UCL in his right elbow.

BHQ SPIN: Westburg, who had been rehabbing from an oblique injury, felt discomfort in his elbow while throwing, and imaging revealed a partial tear in his right ulnar collateral ligament. For now, Westburg will forgo surgery and receive a PRP injection in his elbow; he is expected to miss at least all of April, and a further timetable will depend on the effectiveness of the injection. Additionally, it is likely Westburg would be cleared to hit before being cleared to play the field, so he could be forced to only serve as a designated hitter if/when he first...
