NEWS: SS Kevin McGonigle is getting a strong look in his quest to make the major league roster.

BHQ SPIN: The Tigers appear to be pushing their top prospect, who is #2 overall on the HQ100. McGonigle has now appeared in 14 games this spring, displaying strong contact skills, striking out only 16.7% of the time over 36 PA. It still remains possible that McGonigle starts the season at AAA-Toledo to protect his service time; he is doing his part to break the door down. McGonigle’s arrival in Detroit would bump Zach McKinstry into a UT role. McGonigle’s PT% has been increased +30% to reflect his upward trajectory.
