Morton to re-enter Baltimore rotation

NEWS: Baltimore reinstated RHP Andrew Kittredge from the 15-day IL and optioned RHP Chayce McDermott to AAA-Norfolk. The team also announced that RHP Charlie Morton will rejoin the starting rotation.

BHQ SPIN: Kittredge, who Baltimore signed in the offseason to fill a set-up role, is now healthy after undergoing a knee procedure in the spring. The right-hander had completed five consecutive scoreless rehab outings for AAA-Norfolk before his return. He immediately pitched in an important spot, throwing a scoreless seventh inning on Wednesday with Baltimore trailing by one run.
