NEWS: The Padres acquired RHP Mason Miller and LHP JP Sears from the Athletics in exchange for SS Leo De Vries, RHP Braden Nett, RHP Eduarniel Núñez and RHP Henry Baez.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: Miller has not been quite as dominant this season (3.78 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 27.2% K-BB% and 20 Sv in 38.1 IP) as he was in his 2024 rookie season, but is still one of the top back-of-the-bullpen arms in the game. The Padres expect to keep RHP Robert Suarez, who leads the Major Leagues with 30 Sv, as their primary closer, with Miller joining RHP Jason Adam, RHP Jeremiah...
