Noelvi Marte seizing latest opportunity in Cincinnati

NEWS: 3B Noelvi Marte is making the most of his opportunities.

BHQ SPIN: We weren’t sure how long Marte (+20%) would be up when he was summoned as an injury replacement a couple of weeks ago, but he’s making a strong case to stick around. After managing just one hit over his first 13 PAs, he’s now produced 3 HR, 16 RBI, and a 1.375 OPS since April 20 and looks much more like a core lineup piece than a temporary fill-in. Marte’s playing time is coming at the expense of 1B/3B Jeimer Canderlario (-15%); as the latter has yet to get it going with a miserable .113/.198/.212 slashline over 91 PA.
