NEWS: Activated OF Oneil Cruz from the 10-day IL.
IMPACT: Medium
BHQ SPIN: Cruz was active on Monday for the first time since his June 7th injury, but did not play. Still, he should be a lineup fixture going forward. Ronny Simon was sent to Triple-A in the corresponding move, which leaves the Pirates' DH spot available for a four-man rotation of outfielders (Cruz, Bryan Reynolds, Jake Mangum, and Esmerlyn Valdez) to rotate through.
