PLAYING TIME: Anderson heads AL West injuries

AMERICAN LEAGUE

AL SB decliners and risers

Even with just two weeks remaining, SBs can still make a difference—and the Wednesday AL news in this regard was pretty notable.  Quintin Berry  OF, DET) left Tuesday's game vs OAK with a right shoulder contusion after attempting to make a diving catch in the seventh inning.  Although Berry has been a part-timer for most of the 2H, his 152 Spd and 19/0 SB/CS has made him DET's primary pinch-runner during the stretch-drive—and attracted speed-needy fantasy owners.  Berry wasn't in the Tigers lineup Wednesday and was listed as day-to-day.  But his owners should stay on top of his injury status in the event it curtails Berry's running opportunities.
