Long in rebuilding mode, the Cubs decided on August 5 to take a look at two players who may have a major role in the team's future: center fielder Brett Jackson (OF, CHC) and third baseman Josh Vitters (3B, CHC). Each is covered in-depth write-ups in our Daily Call-Ups column, and each is expected to receive significant playing time over the balance of the season.
