Rangers | Martín Pérez suffers broken arm
Texas Rangers SP Martín Pérez (forearm) suffered a fractured left forearm in the Cactus League spring game Sunday, March 3, after being hit by a line drive. He might miss eight to 10 weeks. He was taken to the hospital where X-rays revealed a fractured ulna. He won't be able to begin a throwing program for four weeks, and would likely need four to six more weeks to build arm strength and get up to game speed. Perez was considered the front-runner for the No. 5 rotation job.  Source: Fort Worth Star-Telegram - Jeff Wilson
